Lubrication and Maintenance Instructions – Bonfiglioli Gearmotor

Oil Specification: Shell Omala S4 WE 320.

Oil Refill / Replacement Interval: The oil should be replaced or replenished approximately every 3,000 operating hours, or immediately if leakage or contamination is detected.

Oil Quantity and Level:

Fill until the oil reaches the midpoint of the sight glass; OR

Up to the reference mark on the dipstick; OR

Until oil begins to flow out of the oil level plug opening.

⚠️ IMPORTANT WARNINGS AND RECOMMENDATIONS

Qualified Technician Required: Gearmotor maintenance and lubricant replacement must be performed exclusively by a qualified technician.

Do Not Mix Lubricants: Shell Omala S4 WE 320 is a synthetic polyalkylene glycol (PAG) based lubricant. Never mix this product with mineral oils or synthetic lubricants with different base oils, such as PAO. Chemical incompatibility may cause lubricant degradation and severe damage to the gearbox gears and internal components.

Preventive Inspection: Regularly inspect the oil level and check the gearmotor for signs of leakage before reaching the recommended 3,000-hour service interval.
