Lubricant Refill: After replacing the oil seal, the gearbox oil must be replenished strictly according to the gearbox manufacturer’s recommendations and specifications, including the correct mineral or synthetic oil type, viscosity, and oil level.
Leak Inspection: If oil leakage is detected around the flange or output shaft of the SA47 gearbox, replace the oil seal immediately to prevent lubricant loss and severe damage to the internal gears.
Shaft Preparation: Before installing the new oil seal, thoroughly clean the shaft and inspect it for wear grooves or surface damage. If the shaft is scored or worn, the new seal may begin leaking prematurely.
Installation: Apply a thin layer of grease to the inner sealing lip and use an appropriate installation tool to press the seal evenly into position, avoiding misalignment or deformation of the internal metal casing.
