BUTTERFLY VALVE SEAL CARE

Food-Grade Lubricant Required: During installation of the seal in the valve body, use only non-toxic food-grade grease or lubricant. Never use industrial petroleum jelly or standard mineral oils, as they may damage the elastomer and contaminate the food product.

Periodic Inspection: Regularly inspect the seal for wear, drying, cuts, cracks, or loss of elasticity. Damaged seals should be replaced immediately to help prevent leaks and bacterial contamination.

Proper Cleaning: Wash the seal by hand using warm water and mild detergent. Avoid sharp objects or aggressive chemicals that could cut, deform, or damage the sealing surface.
