Soft Serve is similar to ice cream but with a lighter, creamier, and airier texture, served directly from the machine. Made with milk, cream, sugar, and stabilizers, it is defined by its iconic swirled presentation. Unlike ice cream and gelato, soft serve has a higher overrun (50–60%) and is served at a warmer temperature (-4°C to -6°C), eliminating the need for hardening or storage in tubs. From a business perspective, it is one of the most efficient frozen formats — requiring minimal preparation and offering strong customization with flavors, toppings, and mix-ins.
