Finamac's First Rotary Ice Pop Machine: The Legendary TITAN

In 2007, Finamac revolutionized the market by launching TITAN — the brand's first industrial rotary machine, designed to compete directly with global market giants. A masterpiece of engineering that broke barriers and democratized high-production technology!

The Industrial Revolution of Rotary Machines (1950 – 1980)

To understand TITAN's impact, one must look at the history of high-capacity production:

  • 1950 | Hoyer (Denmark): Launched the HOYER ROLLO, the pioneer of continuous circular tables (10,000 to 30,000 popsicles/h).
  • 1958 | FMC Corporation (USA): Patented the VITALINE, pioneering linear systems with vertical mold inversion loop for continuous sanitation.
  • 1960s | Gram Equipment (Denmark): Revolutionized with the GRAM RIA, setting the global benchmark for high capacity (>40,000 popsicles/h).
  • 1970s | Glacier Industries (USA): Introduced continuous extrusion with wire-cut stainless steel and forced-air freezing tunnel.
  • 1980s | LAIEF (Italy): Created the 'oval track' rotary machine (technology expanded by Teknoice in the RO line), optimizing the dosing area.

Finamac's Disruptive Vision: The Invention of TITAN

Until TITAN's launch, rotary machines were a monopoly held by very few global manufacturers. The reason? Manufacturing a circular rotary table with welded pockets was an engineering nightmare: it required ultra-expensive stainless steels to resist extreme brine (calcium chloride) corrosion.

Finamac broke this paradigm with ingenious and exclusive solutions:

  • Modular Sector Table: Finamac divided the rotary table into independent sectors sealed with rubber gaskets. This eliminated steel warping during pocket welding and simplified maintenance immensely.
  • Ultra-Thin Pockets and Record Heat Transfer: Using an optimized stainless steel alloy allowed manufacturing pockets with much thinner walls, accelerating heat exchange and dramatically reducing freezing time.
  • Goodbye Corrosive Brine: Aggressive calcium chloride was replaced with a special high-performance thermal fluid, approved for food contact and corrosion-free.
  • Optimized Tank Engineering: Since the new fluid had a higher value, Finamac redesigned the inner tank geometry, drastically reducing the required fluid volume and providing direct savings for producers.

TITAN was the foundational milestone that paved the way for legendary Finamac rotary and linear machines such as PopCircle, TUBO100, and PopLine, and served as the foundation for the new era of disruptive AUTOPOP and SPEEDYPOP. Cutting-Edge Engineering: Finamac's foundational milestone!
