The History of Finamac Ice Pop Machines
In 1990, Finamac sparked a true revolution in the industry by launching a full line of ice pop machines, starting with the legendary Mini-P (2 molds of 22 popsicles each). This was followed by the P-80 (4 molds of 28 popsicles), the higher-powered P-150 (4 molds of 28 popsicles), the P-300 (6 molds of 28 popsicles), the even more powerful P-500 (6 molds), and the P-1000 (10 molds of 28 popsicles each).
But the story starts even earlier.
The P-150 was the machine that gave birth to Finamac. Launched in 1986 as the PICOLITA 200, it became an absolute sales phenomenon. In 1990, it was renamed P-150, and years later it became known as TURBO 8—a name that remains to this day.
Currently, Finamac manufactures only two models from this legendary family: the TURBO 8 (formerly P-150) and the TURBO 25 (formerly P-1000). However, the company does not rule out reviving other classics—including the P-300.
Because, far beyond machinery, these units have always been true dream-building factories.
Cutting-Edge Technology and Innovative DNA
Despite being simple, robust, and remarkably easy to operate, this machine packed advanced engineering well ahead of its time.
Its high refrigeration efficiency allowed it to produce up to 400 ice pops per hour continuously—24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
The model also introduced revolutionary, patented technologies that helped establish the quality standard Finamac upholds today:
- Patented Fiberglass Tank: A true market game-changer. Lightweight, featuring rounded corners for effortless cleaning and unmatched thermal insulation.
- Patented High-Strength Frame: A lightweight, intelligent chassis engineered to withstand heavy daily use, combining durability and practical handling.
- Swirl Agitation System: The famous rapid fluid freezing technology that set a benchmark for speed and efficiency across current brand models.
The Legacy Continues: Extraordinary Relaunch Potential
As the market evolved toward larger scales, the P-300 eventually gave way to the current TURBO 25, designed for 10 molds to serve higher-volume operations.
What if this classic returned?
Today's market presents compelling opportunities for a compact, efficient, and versatile solution like the P-300. Its air-cooled system (eliminating the need for a water cooling tower) combined with single-phase power greatly expands installation possibilities.
Finamac recognizes huge relaunch potential in this classic, particularly for niches seeking high productivity, professional quality, and efficiency in a compact footprint:
-
Small and Medium Producers: The perfect solution for commercial ice pop makers requiring professional output without relying on three-phase electrical connections. Compact, versatile, and productive, it is an empowering asset to start, expand, or professionalize production.
-
High-Traffic Retail Outlets: Ideal for locations near beaches, events, shopping districts, and high-foot-traffic areas. Capable of handling high volumes while maintaining professional standards, allowing businesses to respond quickly to peak demand.
-
Large Industrial Plants & R&D Centers: A strategic partner for research labs testing new flavors, colors, and formulations without interrupting main production lines. In the past, several factories operated multiple P-300 units simultaneously for exclusive, small-batch flavor runs.
A Legend May Be Ready to Make History Again
We are talking about a time-tested engineering project built on decades of experience, innovation, and market knowledge. A machine that has already proven its value by turning production into income, labor into business, and dreams into reality.
It may be time to write a new chapter in this story.
The P-300 combines features that remain strikingly relevant today: robustness, practicality, efficiency, versatility, air cooling, single-phase power, and an operational concept designed to generate rapid ROI.
More than the potential return of a machine, we are talking about the return of a proven success.
