Which circuit breaker is recommended?

The use of a 20 A, curve C, double-pole circuit breaker is recommended.

Must the equipment be grounded?

Yes.
Grounding is mandatory and must be independent of the neutral wire, performed according to the
current electrical standards by a qualified professional.

Is there a limit for electrical voltage variation?

Yes.
The network voltage must not vary more than ±5% of the nominal value. For a 220 V network, the
recommended range is 209 V to 231 V.

Can I change the working temperature?

Yes.
The temperature can be adjusted directly on the electronic controller, according to the
needs of the production process.

What is the working volume of the tank and what product should be used?

The tank has a working volume of 38 liters and must be filled exclusively with clean water.
⚠️ Important: Never use alcohol, chemicals, or any other liquid in the tank, as this
can compromise the equipment's operation, cause damage to the components, and affect the
safety of the operation.

How to start the operation of the Flex Unmold Tank?

Before starting the operation:
Check if the tank contains enough water.
Confirm that the equipment is correctly connected to the electrical network.
Turn on the equipment.
Wait for the water to reach the programmed temperature.
Start the unmolding or chocolate dipping process.

Does the equipment start heating automatically?

Yes.
After being turned on and detecting the appropriate water level, the system automatically starts heating
until it reaches the configured temperature.

Is it necessary to wait for complete heating before use?

Yes.
Operation should only begin after the water reaches the working temperature, ensuring uniform
and efficient unmolding.

Must the operator monitor the equipment during operation?

Yes.
During operation, it is recommended to monitor the water temperature, the tank level, and the correct
positioning of the molds to maintain productivity and prevent interruptions.

How should the unmolding be performed?

After the water reaches the appropriate temperature:
Position the mold correctly in the tank.
Wait for the time required to heat the surface of the mold.
Remove the mold.
Perform the unmolding of the popsicles.

Does the controller display the water temperature in real time?

Yes.
The display continuously shows the temperature measured by the sensor installed in the tank, allowing
the heating to be monitored throughout the operation.

What should be the wiring gauge?

The recommendations are:
power supply: 2.5 mm²;
grounding conductor: 2.5 mm².

Can the Flex Unmold Tank be used for chocolate dipping?

Yes.
In addition to unmolding, the equipment can be configured to perform chocolate dipping on
popsicles.

How is the equipment configured for chocolate dipping?

The tank can receive specific accessories for this application, allowing the chocolate to be used
at the appropriate temperature for the process.

Must the temperature also be controlled during chocolate dipping?

Yes.
The electronic control maintains the programmed temperature, contributing to the stability of the
chocolate during operation.

Can the equipment be used alternately for unmolding and chocolate dipping?

Yes.
Depending on the configuration adopted, the Flex Unmold Tank can be prepared for different
applications. Before changing the use, it is recommended to completely clean the equipment and
correctly install the corresponding accessories.

Can I switch quickly between unmolding and chocolate dipping?

Yes.
The modular design of the Flex Unmold Tank allows the equipment to be adapted for different processes.
Whenever there is a change in application, make sure that the correct accessories are
installed and that the equipment is clean and prepared for the new operation.

Can the equipment operate with two Skimo tanks for chocolate dipping?

Yes.
Depending on the configuration purchased, it is possible to use the Flex Unmold Tank together with a
second Skimo tank, increasing the flexibility of the production line.

Are there specific accessories for each application?

Yes.
The equipment has its own accessories for unmolding and chocolate dipping. The
correct installation of these components is essential to ensure the expected performance.

How to change the water in the tank?

Turn off the equipment.
Wait for the water temperature to decrease.
Empty the tank completely.
Clean the inside of the reservoir.
Refill with clean water up to the recommended level.

Can I use abrasive products for cleaning?

No.
Abrasive products can damage stainless steel and fiberglass surfaces. Use only
cleaning products compatible with these materials and approved for equipment intended for
food processing.

Troubleshooting

Before requesting technical assistance, please consult the guidelines below. Many occurrences can be quickly resolved through simple checks, reducing machine downtime and avoiding unnecessary service trips.

In this section, you will find the most common problems, their possible causes, and the recommended actions for each situation. Follow the instructions in the presented order, and if the problem persists, contact the Finamac Technical Support team.

IMPORTANT: Always disconnect the machine from the electrical grid before performing any inspection or procedure that involves opening guards or accessing internal components. If the recommended solution requires technical knowledge or intervention on the equipment, seek a qualified technician or contact Finamac.

The equipment does not turn on:

Possible causes:

  • lack of power supply;
  • circuit breaker turned off;
  • voltage outside the specified range.

Solutions:

  • check the power supply;
  • check the circuit breaker;
  • measure the network voltage.

The water does not heat up:

Possible causes:

  • insufficient water level;
  • faulty electrical heating element;
  • incorrectly configured controller;
  • level sensor preventing operation.

Solutions:

  • top off the water level;
  • check the heating element;

  • inspect the level sensor.

The equipment turns off the heating by itself:

This can occur when:

  • the programmed temperature has been reached;
  • the water level is below the minimum;
  • the protection system has been triggered;
  • Check the water level and confirm the controller configuration before restarting operation.

Unmolding is difficult:

Possible causes:

  • water below the ideal temperature;
  • insufficient mold immersion time;
  • incorrect positioning of the mold;
  • non-standard recipe or freezing process.

Solutions:

  • wait for the temperature to stabilize;
  • adjust the mold dwell time;
  • position the mold correctly in the tank;
  • review the popsicle manufacturing process.

The chocolate coating shows an irregular finish:

Possible causes:

  • inadequate chocolate temperature;
  • incorrectly assembled accessories;
  • residues from the previous operation;
  • change of application without sanitization.

Solutions:

  • check the chocolate temperature;
  • check the assembly of the accessories;
  • perform complete cleaning before restarting the process.
