Frequently Asked Questions

RoboPop™ 2

First Steps

What is the RoboPop 2?

The RoboPop is equipment developed for continuous popsicle production, providing a high-quality final product.

Must the first start-up be performed by an authorized technician?

Yes, the first start-up must be performed by an authorized technician. During this procedure, the customer receives training on the equipment and key technical guidelines, in addition to filling out the mandatory start-up report required for warranty validation. The first start-up ensures the equipment operates according to Finamac recommendations for performance, safety, and warranty preservation.

Important: Travel costs, accommodation, and other expenses related to the technician's visit must be aligned with Finamac prior to the technician's arrival at the installation site.

Is it mandatory to read the Instruction Manual before operation?

Yes. Read the Instruction Manual carefully before operating the equipment. Compliance with installation, operation, and maintenance guidelines ensures safe operation and the best machine performance.

Can the wooden packaging (crate) be discarded?

No. The wooden packaging must be kept in a dry and ventilated place throughout the warranty period. It may be needed for future equipment movement or transport.

Does the machine have warranty seals?

Yes. The RoboPop 2 has seals installed at strategic points that must not be tampered with without authorization from Finamac's After-Sales department. Tampering with the seals may result in the loss of the factory warranty.

Installation

Who should perform the electrical installation of the RoboPop 2?

The electrical installation must be performed by a qualified professional in compliance with current technical standards and equipment specifications. Finamac recommends that the service be executed by a legally authorized professional with active registration in the competent professional council, according to applicable legislation. It is the owner's responsibility to ensure that the electrical installation is suitable for machine operation.

What precautions should I take with the power supply?

The RoboPop 2 must be powered by a dedicated electrical circuit protected by a circuit breaker according to manual specifications. The power grid voltage should not fluctuate more than $\pm5\%$ from the nominal value. For a 220 V grid, the recommended range is 209 V to 231 V. If variations outside this range occur, arrange for correction with the energy utility company or use a suitable voltage stabilizer.

Is electrical grounding necessary?

Yes. The RoboPop 2 must be connected to a properly grounded electrical installation in compliance with current technical standards. Grounding is essential for operator safety and for protecting the electrical components of the equipment.

Where should the RoboPop 2 be installed?

Install the equipment on a flat, level, and sturdy surface in a dry, clean, and well-ventilated area. Make sure to maintain the minimum recommended clearance around the machine for ventilation, operation, and maintenance.

Are there additional precautions for water-condensed models?

Yes. Water-condensed models must have the cooling tower installed correctly and fully operational before starting operation. An adequate cooling system is key to ensuring equipment performance and reliability.

Where is the identification plate located?

The identification plate is located at the back of the machine and contains key technical information such as model, serial number, manufacture date, voltage, power rating, frequency, nominal current, machine weight, and condensation type (when applicable).

Can I remove the identification plate?

No. The identification plate is indispensable for equipment identification and for requesting technical support, purchasing parts, and warranty service. It must not be removed or damaged.

Are there minimum space requirements for installing the RoboPop 2?

Yes. The equipment must be installed in a location that allows free air circulation around it, respecting the minimum distances recommended in the Instruction Manual.

Operation

Who can operate the RoboPop 2?

The RoboPop 2 should only be operated by properly trained personnel. The equipment is not intended for use by children or persons without adequate training or supervision.

Is it normal for the RoboPop 2 to heat up the room during operation?

Yes. In air-condensed models, part of the heat removed during the refrigeration process is dissipated into the environment. Therefore, maintaining adequate ventilation or air conditioning in the room is essential, according to the manual's recommendations.

What precautions should be observed before starting production?

Before starting production, check that the equipment is clean, all systems are operating normally, and safety devices are in perfect working order.

Is it necessary to check the thermal fluid before operation?

Yes. The thermal fluid level should be checked periodically to ensure proper equipment operation. Inadequate levels can compromise refrigeration system performance.

Which thermal fluid should be used in the RoboPop 2?

Use only the thermal fluid recommended by Finamac. Using unauthorized fluids can damage internal components and void the equipment warranty.

When should the thermal fluid be replaced?

The thermal fluid must be kept in good condition and replaced whenever it shows signs of contamination or loss of properties, according to Finamac guidelines.

Can the RoboPop 2 be put into operation after a long idle period?

Before resuming operation after an extended period, perform all checks recommended in the Instruction Manual, including inspecting the thermal fluid level, connection status, and safety device operation. Ensure all operating conditions are appropriate before turning on the machine.

Can I operate the RoboPop 2 with the protective covers removed?

No. The RoboPop must never be operated with covers removed or safety devices disabled. This practice puts the operator at risk and can compromise equipment operation.

Can I make adaptations or modifications to the RoboPop 2?

No. Do not adapt or modify the equipment without Finamac authorization. Unauthorized changes can compromise equipment safety, performance, and warranty.

Cleaning and Maintenance

Does the RoboPop 2 need to be cleaned daily?

Yes. At the end of each workday, clean the equipment according to the instructions in the Instruction Manual. Proper sanitization preserves hygienic conditions, contributes to final product quality, and extends component lifespan.

Is it necessary to turn off the machine before cleaning?

Yes. Before performing any cleaning, inspection, or maintenance procedure, disconnect the equipment from the electrical network and make sure all moving parts have come to a complete stop.

Can I use a water jet or high-pressure washer?

No. Using water jets or high-pressure washers can damage the machine's electrical and electronic components.

Can I use corrosive chemical products for cleaning?

No. Use only cleaning products compatible with food industry equipment. Warning: Corrosive or abrasive products can damage machine surfaces, components, and finishes.

How should the RoboPop 2 be sanitized?

Sanitization should be done in compliance with manual instructions, using warm water, neutral soap, and sanitizing products recommended by Finamac.

Is it necessary to perform preventive maintenance?

Yes. Performing periodic preventive maintenance contributes to operational reliability, extends component lifespan, and reduces unscheduled downtime.

Is it recommended to maintain a preventive maintenance plan?

Yes. Finamac recommends that the equipment follow a preventive maintenance plan with periodic inspection records. This practice helps increase operational reliability, reduce unexpected downtime, and prolong equipment lifespan.

Which wear-and-tear components should be inspected periodically?

Components subject to natural wear and tear must be inspected periodically and replaced according to the Instruction Manual guidelines.

Can I use aftermarket/third-party parts?

No. Use only original Finamac parts to preserve equipment performance, safety, and warranty.

Troubleshooting

Before requesting technical assistance, please refer to the guidelines below. Many occurrences can be quickly resolved through simple checks, reducing machine downtime and avoiding unnecessary trips.

In this section, you will find the most common issues, their possible causes, and recommended actions for each situation. Follow the instructions in the order presented, and if the problem persists, contact the Finamac Technical Support team.

IMPORTANT: Always disconnect the machine from the power grid before performing any inspection or procedure involving opening protective guards or accessing internal components. If the recommended solution requires technical knowledge or intervention on the equipment, contact a qualified technician or reach out to Finamac.
