FinamacTM was founded in Brazil, in 1985, by an Aeronautical Engineer with a strong entrepreneurial vision and experience in the aerospace industry, who created a revolutionary compact ice pop machine.
This innovative idea came from growing up watching his father, an Italian immigrant, who arrived in Brazil in 1954 and started working in an ice cream shop. Later, he would work as a refrigeration technician, manufacturing small artisanal ice cream machines for people in his neighborhood.
In 1988, at age 29, the Aeronautical Engineer built the first 5 samples of his revolutionary ice pop machine. Despite having to do this in the spare room of his house, this early production proved to be the first chapter in the story of his success.
He invested all of his resources in the business and began with one employee. Five years later, 70 people were employed. Over time, the manufacturing parts were outsourced and the Company focused on innovative research projects and integration of equipment, accumulating more than 40 patents in ice cream machines.
In 2006, FinamacTM began to export its brand and products, which are currently present in more than 100 countries. The numerous innovations captured industry attention, resulting in several appearances on traditional and digital media focused on business.
In 2013 FinamacTM received support from FAPESP, a Funding Agency for Research and Innovation, similar to the SBIR Program (USA), to develop high tech products. The innovations are being developed with the support of doctors from the best Educational Institutions of Brazil and the United States as ITA (Technological Institute of Aeronautics, Brazil), Poli (Polytechnic School of USP, Brazil) and CALTECH (California Institute of Technology, USA). And technological support has come from suppliers in the US, Sweden, Denmark, Germany and other countries.
In 2014, the Company was also given a grant from the Design Export Award, supported by APEX, the Brazilian Agency for Export incentive, which resulted in a revolutionary design of ROBOPOP Ice Pop machine, certified by Safety and Health Agencies of the United States and Canada, according to the UL (Underwriters laboratories) and NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) Standards.
Also in 2014, FinamacTM gained recognition by having a presence in 15 of the 17 best Ice Pops makers in the US, in addition to exporting more than 60% of its production. See the stores in this link by clicking on the images in the left arrow. Fifteen of them are using FinamacTM equipment.
In 2015, FinamacTM officially opened their international sales office and manufacturing plant in the United States (Miami, FL).
In 2016, with the support of FAPESP, FinamacTM began the development of a new technology for ice pop production that is expected to revolutionize the industry.
In 2018, new projects of the Design Export/Apex Program were initiated to offer more widely differentiated equipment to the world market.
In 2021, FinamacTM acquires a warehouse/manufacturing plant in Miami and starts the construction of an ultra-modern factory in São Paulo - Brazil.
In 2024, FinamacTM set a historic sales record at the Fispal Trade Show in São Paulo, Brazil, with the introduction of the new products Finesse, Vista, Speedy Pop, Shape, Flash and Thor. These products will also be introduced at the NRA Trade Show in Chicago, USA, in May 2025.
